Philanthropy
NaNationalNationNational: Our national philanthropy is KDR Kids. The KDR Kids program has recently been revised to focus on literacy, improving the health of children, and providing a safe and healthy environment for children to grow into successful leaders of our society in multiple organizations. Some of these organizations sponsored by KDR Kids include Make-A-Wish, Painted Turtle Camp, Ronald McDonald House, Special Olympics, Children's Miracle Network, etc. We focus on more than one organization to easily partner with fraternities and sororities to donate and volunteer to these organizations, and provide a greater good to many deserving organizations.
Local: The Zeta Beta chapter prides its partnership with the local Foster’s Home for Children. The chapter helps out in numerous ways throughout the school year. The biggest philanthropic fundraiser is Rent-A-Gent, where the gentlemen pair up for a talent show performance which is followed by an auction. Then, the Tarleton and Stephenville community can purchase 6 hours of service of their choice for the gentlemen to complete. A large portion of the proceeds go directly to the Foster’s Home. The chapter also helps with the set up for the annual Foster Home Auction, an auction where the Stephenville community will donate items to be auctioned off, and all of the proceeds go towards the children. At this event, the gentlemen donate their time by helping run the auction, and loading the items for the purchasers. Lastly, another event is the annual Easter egg hunt with the Foster Home, giving a chance for kids to spend time with the members and hunt for Easter eggs.
